Germany Announce Squad for Home Euros

Nagelsmann Names Preliminary Roster

Warm-Up Fixture Against France

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has named his preliminary squad for the upcoming European Championship, which will be held on home soil in 2024. The DFB team will begin their preparations for the tournament with a friendly against France on March 23.

The squad includes several notable inclusions and omissions. Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala and Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko have been called up for the first time, while experienced defender Mats Hummels has been left out.

Nagelsmann said he was "very pleased" with the squad he had selected. "We have a good mix of experience and youth," he said. "I am confident that we can compete for the title."

Germany will be one of the favorites to win the European Championship, which will be held from June 14 to July 14. They will be looking to add to their three previous titles, which they won in 1972, 1980, and 1996.

The team's preparations for the tournament will begin with a training camp in Spain from March 20 to 23. They will then face France in a friendly at the Stade de France in Paris on March 23.

Germany's final squad for the European Championship will be announced on May 19. The tournament will begin with a group stage, with Germany drawn in Group A alongside France, Portugal, and Hungary.
